{Style} Lost & Found...

After weeks of procrastination and dread at the very thought of it, I'm proud to report that my closet is  finally organized. That's right my friends, it's nothing but neat and tidy as far as the eye can see. The process was cathartic and ripe with discovery— take this skirt for instance. I bought it last year and only wore it twice before it found itself trapped behind a stack of tops and miscellanea, never again to see the light of day until this very moment. Liberating. Unfortunately for me (and the skirt) it's only a matter of time before my closet avalanches out of control again, but let's just enjoy the moment, shall we?

Well, it's official: winter's here and in a big way... I know, I know, totally gross. But regardless of old man winter's cruel tricks, I plan on sticking it to the elements with cute layers and cozy accessories. Do your worst, snow.

{Style} Wrapped in Chains...

Remember how I told you guys about my silk obsession? Well when I saw this blouse at the Joe Fresh store in New York, I practically squealed with delight. Not only is it silk (which, let's be serious, would be reason enough), but its chain-emblazoned pattern makes the 80s child inside me oh-so happy. Now just imagine what I would do if I found a neon silk fanny pack or something equally 80s-inspired... Mind blowing.

New York Bound...

Good morning, lovelies! As you read this, I'll be on a flight to New York with my lovely friend Janis  for the very first time!!! Now I know this might not seem like the biggest deal in the world to some of you, but going to NYC has been my dream for longer than I can remember, and I'm beside myself with excitement — Eeeeek!

Janis and I plan on getting into ample shenanigans while away (including IFB, FNO and as much shopping as we can handle!), and naturally we want you guys to be a part of it. So with that in mind, we'll both be blogging throughout the trip, giving you guys live updates here and on Twitter and Instagram... Get ready!

{Travel Diary} Wardrobe Wednesday

Before leaving for my trip, I was lucky enough to be gifted this adorable polka dot bikini and oversized hat by La Vie En Rose... How cute are they? I wore both pieces a ton while I was away, and received many a compliment on the bikini (because really, who doesn't love polka dots?). Although I wasn't brave enough to take pics of me actually in the bathing suit, I figured this would be the next best thing... And the world shares a collective sigh of relief.

New Again...

If you've followed this blog for a while, you might recognize these photos from last summer's Elle & Nokia Style Correspondent competition. Never one to reuse content, I thought it would be fun to make an exception just this once and take a little stroll down memory lane... That was such a fun summer for me, and looking back, I can't help but notice how much my style has evolved over the past year (not to mention my photoshop skills — shudder!). But regardless of said "growth" in the personal style department, elements of that time remain in the form of hats and full-length hemlines... I guess some things never change, huh?

Wardrobe Wednesday

There's nothing quite like a straw hat on a warm summer's day... Or in my case, a sunny day with minimal wind. Hey, I live in Edmonton — I'll take what I can get. Anyway, I got this cute little boater hat from Forever 21 about a month ago, and waited not-so-patiently for the right moment to wear it... Definitely worth the wait.
