{Style} Laid Back Leopard...

Leopard print jeans are my greatest guilty pleasure, only minus the gilt because they're totally awesome. I hesitated for a second when I first saw them last summer, but then I gave my head a shake and quickly pulled out my credit card... No regrets. Rain, shine or snow (ahem), I'm all about these bad boys. What can I say, I'm loyal like that.

Baby it's cold outside, but I refuse to bust out the parka and winter boots just yet... Call me crazy, but there's no way I'm giving in to the upcoming harsh weather without a fight. Come hell or frozen blue extremities, I'm going to wear what I want, even if it means improvising with a giant (and admittedly super warm) sweater. Hey, I do what I can. xx

{Style} Spots & Stripes...

It's been depressingly cold here in Edmonton lately, so I decided to rebel against the oppressive temperatures by putting together a fun, "printy" little outfit (albeit under layers of outerwear, but still). Stripes and navy always remind me of spring, so by wearing them today I symbolically told winter to take a hike... And I'm pretty sure the pop of leopard speaks for itself. Boom.

{Style} The Many Shades of Brown...

Sometimes a girl just wants to throw caution to the wind and drape herself in deep, delicious shades of brown... Be it a nod to a new season or a departure from more commonly worn colours, brown is super stylin', especially when channeling that mom-meets-grannie-chic vibe we all know and love. Unfortunately the only anecdotal proof I have of this comes from myself, but hey, I'm as good a source as any right? Just smile and nod my friends, smile and nod...

Oh and in other news, I just realized that maybe I shouldn't write posts when I'm completely and utterly sleep deprived... Note to self.

New York Bound...

Good morning, lovelies! As you read this, I'll be on a flight to New York with my lovely friend Janis  for the very first time!!! Now I know this might not seem like the biggest deal in the world to some of you, but going to NYC has been my dream for longer than I can remember, and I'm beside myself with excitement — Eeeeek!

Janis and I plan on getting into ample shenanigans while away (including IFB, FNO and as much shopping as we can handle!), and naturally we want you guys to be a part of it. So with that in mind, we'll both be blogging throughout the trip, giving you guys live updates here and on Twitter and Instagram... I have two words for you, my friends: Mint. Jeans. Have two more glorious words ever been spoken? Doubtful... I've been crushing on them for ages now, with my Pinterest account only fueling the light green fire in my heart. Now that my hunger for mint jeans has been satiated, however, my mind has become consumed with other candy-coloured pant possibilities... If I get my way, expect to see yellow, coral and red jeans in the months to come! Just don't tell Mr. AiF — He thinks I have a shopping problem... shhhhh
