{Style} Wooded Walk...

So I never thought I would be saying this, but the whole not shopping thing is actually working out for me. After my initial withdrawals faded (that part was not fun, believe me), I stopped feeling compelled to buy things just for the sake of buying them. And the amount of awesomeness I've rediscovered within my own wardrobe astounds me. I think I've only worn this blazer once before (super cray!), and it had been eons since I last wore this vintage scarf or these Joe Fresh pumps... What can I say ladies and gentlemen, I'm a new woman.

Wardrobe Wednesday...

I might be a little late to the Toms party, but at least I'm arriving in neon-y goodness, right? Although these aren't exactly my style — which is precisely why I've avoided them for so long — the whole comfort factor, coupled with the fact that they now come in neon hues, had me sold. Hey, better late than never, right? xx

Floral Week: Wardrobe Wednesday

Although I can't walk in them to save my life, I still love my Miu Miu-inspired F21 Mary Janes so... Just looking at them makes me happy! But about five minutes online revealed a whole other crop of floral-print goodness in the shoe department, and now I'm seriously contemplating a floral overhaul where my feet are concerned... Can you think of anything sweeter?

Wardrobe Wednesday...

There are fewer things that I love more than a sale... You know, that exhilarating feeling of scoring something you had no idea you wanted or even needed until you spot that little red sticker smiling back at you. Now Mr. AIF would tell you that's a sign of a shopping addiction, but if you ask me (and 99% of women, I'm sure), that's just the thrill of the (shopping) hunt.

I scored these adorable kitten heels at Zara during Boxing week for a mere $30, and although I wasn't exactly in the market for olive-coloured heels topped with a bow, I couldn't walk away knowing I had let such a sweet deal pass through my fingers... Or in this case, toes.

Adventures in Thrifting...

Hello lovelies, happy friday! What did you guys get up to last night? Judging from the pictures above, it's probably pretty clear what I did... went thrifting!

There's nothing greater than a good thrift-sesh, and no one better to share it with than my dear friend Jen... Isn't she lovely? She did most of the photo taking, but check her out in that 90s green suede blazer: aaaa-mazing! I was super disappointed when she didn't end up buying it because it was seriously made for her... *sigh*

I myself always gravitate towards pieces from the 80s/90s (surprise, surprise), and couldn't resist trying on a "Magic Moments" blazer (that's seriously the brand!), a cropped red suede jacket with shoulder pads galore, and a buttery oversized jacket that Jen affectionately referred to as a "creamsicle." Throw in some fun shoes (metallic gold loafers anyone?) and a cute home accessory, and you've got yourself a rocking Thursday night! xx

Well hello there! Notice anything new? That's right my friends, I GOT NEW SHOES!!! Not that I'm excited about it or anything... ;)

Sooooo? What's the verdict on my new Tahari sandals? Cute, right? I bought them at Winners for only $70 (cha-ching!), and I couldn't be more in love with them... I know I babbled on about cruise ship ladies in my last post, so forgive the recycled reference, but these bad boys make me want to board a fabulous Mediterranean cruise and traipse about on cobblestone streets, gelato in tow. Is it weird that a pair of shoes can evoke such a specific image in my mind? Why yes. Yes it is...
