{Glitter Week} The Shoes...

Hello and welcome to a brand new theme week! This time, it's all about glitter... Because from clothing and accessories, to beauty and back, everything looks better with glitter, no?

I have a full week of glittery goodness planned for you guys, but let's kick things off (so to speak) with these sparkly loafers. They were a gift from my buddy Kastles last summer, and I couldn't love them more. Seriously now, they're comfy, cute and they take that whole "spring in your step" thing to a new level. What's not to love?

{Style} Prep School...

It's been several months and I still can't get enough of these pants... I've worn them more times than I care to count, which pretty much makes them the best $30 I've ever spent. And if you think about it, that's quite the return on investment — waaaaay better than six lattes, a fancy lipstick or whatever else $30 gets you now a days (listen to me, I sound like Grandma Moses or something). I guess H&M is just trying to give their customers a leg up... Ba da bum cha!

{Oxblood Week} Shades of Fall...

{Weekend Update} Stripes & Sweets...

My weekend kicked off with my most favourite of pastimes, catching up with friends over sweet treats. Now I know what you must be thinking — "What a glutton!" — to which I would simply shrug, nod my head and pass you a macaron... Now I'm drooling just thinking about them, but I digress.

The adorable Jenna joined my little calorie fest, and together we caught up over caffeine and spiked blood sugar levels... It was lovely. I wore my new, sparkly loafers which were a thoughtful gift from Kastles, as well as this mullet skirt that I had long forgotten about; I guess that's what happens when you hoard clothes, am I right?

Back to School with West 49...

Back to school is one of the most wonderful times of the year — whether you're in school or not. The leaves turn red, new stationary is purchased (arguably the best part of all — at least if you're a total dork like me!) and we get a chance to refresh our wardrobes with lovely new layers... What's not to like?

So when West 49 asked me to style a back to school outfit from their new fall collection, I jumped at the chance. The brand isn't traditionally my style, but their latest offerings intrigued me, especially this sweater. I instantly knew I had to have it, and my mind raced with all the different ways I could wear it. Since the weather is still rather lovely, I threw on shorts, a bowler hat and my trusty satchel for a simple, school-inspired look. The best part? As the months get cooler, I can easily transition this sweater by pairing it with pants and boots or patterned tights and a great skirt... Oh the possibilities.

I had lots of fun picking out my new pieces (and was seriously tempted by this dress!), and was surprised by how affordable they were (always a bonus, no?). All in all it was an awesome experience, and I would recommend checking out their stuff for some fun, casual basics, especially if you've never thought to look there before... You might just be surprised.

{Style Panel} Black-on-Black...

Embracing the coming season's black-on-black, leather-hungry sensibilities might not be for everyone, but the girlie girls (myself included) of the world can breathe a collective sigh of relief — The trend is as flexible as it is fun!

To achieve a look that feels feminine yet decisively on-trend, I opted for a faux leather mini and a black, peek-a-boo cutout sweater. By keeping silhouette, proportion and accessories in mind — think statement necklaces and fun bracelets — I was able to embrace the trend while still remaining true to myself. Fist pump.

{Weekend Update} The Coffee Date...

No, this isn't some shameless Starbucks plug; This, my friends, is a glimpse into my weekend. I kicked things off with a lovely coffee date with my good pal Andrew — isn't he the cutest?! We gabbed over warm bevies and, true to blogger form, snapped some outfit pics when we were done. Typical.

Silence of the Lamps...

No, this isn't some creepy post where I wear someone else's skin just for funsies — Come on, I said lamps, not lambs, people! Anyway, my friend Cheryl and I stumbled on these plastic lamp installations the other day, and I pretty much forced her to take pictures for me right then and there... What a pal!

We had tons of fun goofing around (one of us may or may not have straddled a lamp), and I was super pumped to wear these loafers outdoors again now that the snow has pretty much melted... Because hey, it's the simple things in life, right? xx

Red, White & Blue...

Sometimes the last thing I want to do is put together an outfit... You know, those days when you're too tired to run a comb through your hair let alone coordinate a look. That's why you need a trusty sweater you can throw on with jeans and still look halfway put together... Am I right?

That said, I'm head over heels for this Forever 21 sweater. It's cute, cozy and requires little-to-no thought in terms of outfit planning. Just throw on some shades and a rocking necklace (or two!), and you're good to go... Not too shabby, huh?

Sidewalk Story...

The other day I met with one of my favourite friends for coffee, a gab sesh and — since we're both bloggers — outfit photos! Can you think of a better way to spend an afternoon? Because I can't! And as if that weren't amazing enough, I awoke that morning to find a lovely little package from Israel on my doorstep... Perfection.

The good people of Hila sent three lovely necklaces my way, including this "Delicate Marilyn" piece that I'm super in love with. I've worn it pretty much non-stop ever since, and I can't wait to show you the other pieces in the weeks to come... Thanks, Hila!
