{Weekend Update} The Farmer's Market...

This weekend marked my official departure from shift work, because for the first time in a very long time, I had the entire weekend off! So what's a girl to do with all that extra time on her hands, you ask? Well, let me tell you: I visited the farmer's market and our local Fringe Festival, saw friends, cleaned house and — best of all — relaxed... What a concept! Top that off with HBO Sunday and some freshly manicured nails, and I'm one seriously happy girl.

Souvenirs...

Trips are always fun, but one of the best parts of traveling hands down is killing time at the duty free... I had a six hour layover when I came home from Greece, so I did what any girl in my position would do — shop! The Zara at Heathrow was aaa-mazing, so naturally I picked up a couple of things, including this kick ass necklace. I knew I wanted it the moment I saw it, while the Marc by Marc Jacobs cross body was a no-brainer. I've always wanted one of these, so my sleep-deprived mind insisted that I scoop one up right then and there. Blame it on the jet lag.

Mall Rats...

Having had the day off yesterday, I decided to go on a lovely shopping/coffee date with a new friend...  We enjoyed sinfully tasty treats (you're the worst, Starbucks!) and took a quick boo around the mall, which resulted in me buying a pair of mint jeans at Zara (finally!) and my first-ever Pandora bracelet, sans charms... Hey, one step at a time, right?

Ocean Dreaming...

Oh the ocean, isn't it glorious? Living in Edmonton, I always miss it so... Luckily for Mr. AIF, Meows and myself, we got to go home to Victoria/Vancouver for a glorious week filled with food, family and rainy-day fun. Rainy, of course, being the operative word. It pretty much poured the entire trip, leaving our feet constantly cold and our hair noticeably frizzy... Not pretty.

Luckily we did end up having one nice day, which was eagerly spent traipsing around town, trusty camera in tow... And with nature's greatest backdrop at our disposal, it sure felt good to be home.

How do you know you're a print-mixing addict? When you can no longer put together a coordinated outfit to save your life... Somehow I get 'wallflower syndrome' (aka feeling invisible) when I don't blatantly mismatch by conventional standards. Sad but true.
