{Style} Casual Friday...

The weekend is here, and I for one am mega excited (yes, I said mega) to kick back, relax and maybe even do a little shopping while Mr. AiF's out of town. Hey, when the cat's away, am I right? Nothing crazy, just a thing or two to spice things up a bit... You know what else I'm particularly looking forward to this weekend? Uninterrupted, quality time with my old pal Netfix without so much as a peep about my (totally awesome) movie selections... Looks like it's just going to be me and Teen Wolf this Friday night — hubba hubba.

{Style} Laid Back Leopard...

Leopard print jeans are my greatest guilty pleasure, only minus the gilt because they're totally awesome. I hesitated for a second when I first saw them last summer, but then I gave my head a shake and quickly pulled out my credit card... No regrets. Rain, shine or snow (ahem), I'm all about these bad boys. What can I say, I'm loyal like that.

{Houndstooth Week} The Dress...

Want to take your houndstooth to the next level? Think about mixing prints for added impact. Fall calls for versatile layers, so I opted for a denim shirt under a green tartan blazer. The result? An unexpected pairing that compliments the geometrical houndstooth in both shape and colour.

Want to know the best part? I had all of these pieces in my wardrobe from previous seasons... If you hoard clothing like I do, you might be surprised by what you find lurking in the dark recesses of your closet too. If not, I hope this inspires you to think outside the box while shopping for fall staples, and to hold on to those pieces for as long as possible because fashion is nothing if not cyclical. The proof? This dress is about six years old. Mind blowing.
