Well hello there, lovelies! And happy long weekend Monday... If you're reading this, I'm probably driving home from Calgary, where I spent a lovely weekend catching up with family. Well, at  least past Vickie hopes so... You'll have to confirm that with future Vickie after the weekend's over ;)

Wardrobe Wednesday...

I feel like this week's Wardrobe Wednesday item speaks for itself, but for those unfamiliar with the language of Love (Pamela, that is), feast your eyes on this resin skull necklace... I've long been an admirer of Pamela Love's work, but what with her hefty price points, I long came to terms with not ever owning a piece... Until now. Because not only is this necklace super badass, it was a only $98! And believe me, as far as Miss Love is concerned, that's a steal.

Wardrobe Wednesday...

As you can probably tell, I'm an insanely huge fan of Moon Raven Designs. I first gushed about them here, many Wardrobe Wednesdays ago, when I got my raven skull necklace. I've worn it non-stop since then (revelling in its Pamela Love-esque glory), and have dreamed of all the pieces I'd like to eventually add to my collection... So you can imagine my delight when Mr. AIF surprised me with their brass claw necklace for my birthday! What a guy!

I love the design and level of edge it gives my otherwise girlie ensembles, plus it always attracts so much attention... Is that a claw? people gawk as they lean in to appraise it closely. Why yes, yes it is, I beam. Not that I'm an attention hog or anything (quite the opposite, really), but it's nice to wear something that gets so much love, you know? Plus it's a compliment to Mr. AIF's gift-giving abilities... No matter how you look at it, all signs point to winning.

Wardrobe Wednesday...

Hello lovelies! How is everyone feeling today? I've been a busy bee these past few days, however, I somehow managed to run to the mall yesterday... Surprise, surprise. I didn't buy much, but the highlight was definitely this ring from the Bay. I love the size of the faux pearl (ginormous!) almost as much as I love its talon setting... How cute (and oh so Pamela Love) is that?! Best $12 I've spent in a long time ;)

PS- What do you think of my manicure? My aunt bought a China Glaze pink shatter polish last week and was nice enough to let me try it out. The colour combo looks very early 90s to me, which definitely makes me a fan, yet I'm not sure I would buy this particular colour for myself... Thoughts??

wardrobe wednesday...

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone is having a safe and happy Wednesday... As you may have noticed here and here, I've pretty much worn this necklace non-stop since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. I eyed it on Etsy for ages before finally resolving to buy it, and let me tell you, I'm soooo glad I did-- it's probably the single coolest piece of jewelry I now own!

I love how it resembles Pamela Love's work (my ultimate jewelry crush), pluuuus Moon Raven Designs hails from Vancouver Island-- it just so happens we have that in common. All in all, the necklace is beautifully designed and crafted, making it the best purchase I've made in a long time. If you haven't checked out their shop already, do it now... believe me, you won't be sorry!
